Do you have basic computer and technology questions? Need a little help with eBooks or setting up an email? Need a little guidance with simple web searches or exploring the library's digital collection? Drop in for tech help with one of our knowledgeable volunteers.
Feel free to bring your own device (tablet, phone, or laptop) or use a library computer. Please note that our volunteers may need to assist others who visit during drop in hours.
Our Tech Help volunteers can help with:
- Logging on to public computers
- Basic web searching
- Basic computer & technology questions
- Emailing
- Saving & attaching files
- Printing & Copying
- eBooks and eReaders
- Navigating the Contra Costa County Library website
- How to use the library's Digital Resources
Please note that Tech Help volunteers cannot:
- Help fill out online forms that ask for personal information
- Repair devices
- Install hardware, software, or program updates on devices
- Type, prepare, or format letters or documents
- Provide private lessons or accept payment of any kind
- Recommend products for purchase or give financial advice
- Provide online shopping services or place online ads
- Serve as personal research assistants or tutors
