Description

Learn how to transform drawings from sketches to pixelated masterpieces! Take your own original art or your favorite coloring pages and use the printable grid to turn linework characters into pixelated sprites like the ones in retro video games.

Get your favorite drawing materials ready, print your instructions, and view Mr. Abe's how-to tutorial for a fun any-time activity to celebrate Summer Reading!

The game is on this summer at your library. The Contra Costa County Library’s 2025 summer literacy program is all about play! Whether you’re playing chess with a friend, working on a puzzle, or learning to code video games, play is one of the ways we learn best. The library is a great resource for you to level up your learning as well as your fun. From June 2 to August 2 the Library will champion Summer Reading as the summer of having fun and learning while you do it. Readers of all ages can visit ccclib.org/summer for more gaming ideas and challenges. Every reader who completes a passport is eligible for a free book and a chance to win prizes.
