By an award-winning author, this alphabet book is a cut above, and would be a great choice for reading with children of mixed ages. Little ones can learn the alphabet while older kids leap into the guessing game integral to the story.

My 2 and 3-year-old both enjoyed this book. They enjoyed "coming up" with the story themselves based on the pictures (each page only has a letter from the alphabet on it). They both found the story very humorous. Great story for practicing alphabet and encouraging children's imagination. Cute illustrations that really engaged my boys while snuggling together on the couch.

McDonnell's Little Red Cat leads a merry and entertaining chase through the alphabet. Each page has a wonderful joke or visual clue to enjoy. McDonnell's signature style conveys a sense of energy perfect for this lively yet mostly wordless tale.

A fun interactive (wordless!) alphabet book. Alphabet letters are on each page but the reader must figure out what part of the illustration the letters represent - don't worry, there's an answer key at the back. The simple expressive animals are drawn in McDonnell's typical style, adding humor to this adventurous tale. Ages 4-6.

Excellent book for beginner readers ( ages 2 to 6) learning how to read and letter recognization.
