I saw this book displayed in an artisan porcelain shop in Delft, and was happy to read it after I returned home. I enjoy books about other cultures translated from other languages. The author weaves historical fact with an interesting, involving story featuring a strong, creative and practical young woman and her eventful life. Recommended!

One of the best books I've read in a while. If you like historical fiction, with a bit of romance and thriller thrown in, you will love this book!
