I tried to relate this to my kids if they were to eat whatever they wanted, like the goat, they would also get sick. They thought it was funny when he ate the items of clothing. Definitely for a younger audience.

The kids in my preschool storytime LOVED this story. "So Silly!," they said.

The writeup made this book sound more interesting than reality. It might be a good one for really little kids, but it's not one I'd read for my kids. There is no 'problem' to solve, no emotions...the book just feels flat. I don't see how it can be described as 'hilarious'. There was really nothing funny about the goat getting sick. There was also no explanation about how the goat gets better.

Really not a good book anyway you look at it. But it's just my opinion.

Goat gobbles up all kinds of things while the farm is sleeping. Will she learn her lesson after she gets a bellyache? Bright, colorful illustrations and simple text make this a great read-aloud for storytimes about Food, Colors, Sickness/Health, or Bad Behavior!
