I started watching Parasite and thought I had it all figured out. About half way the movie took a drastic turn in direction and tone making it unrecognizable and completely fascinating. It was unlike anything I had ever watched and the unique twist was executed perfectly.

I get some of the issues of class struggle but it seems to condone murder. It is a very sad and depressing movie suggesting that poor people need to have no moral conscience because they are desperate. No redemption, no soul. Murderous resentment and jealousy. Left me feeling worse about humanity as a whole.

You're not brilliant for liking this movie. There's nothing to get. Whatever has been done in this has been done in "Married With Children", "Shameless" and "Malcolm in the Middle", etc.

And to learn that this movie elevated to Best Picture status is absolutely hilarious considering the numerous movies on this film's level that were never considered to be nominated throughout American and European history. But now, all of a sudden, they felt this garbage was worthy of Best Picture.

I have to be honest: I don't know or see any of this movie's flaws. It serves the title of the movie well in more ways than one. It's a thoughtful and sad (though not without its humour) exploration of societal systems that people seem to be trapped in with only scant and brief moments of possible escape that instead don't end as planned.

After all of the press coverage and relative excitement around this film, I expected something breathtaking, magnificent, and novel. I enjoyed the costuming, the architecture, and the film techniques (I’m not exactly an expert). It is a good metaphor for all that is about classism, wealth, and socioeconomic differences. The story line was rather hurried and very dark. I understand that this is dark humor, but it is extremely frightening and disturbing. Parasite feels like it could be a good film, but it lacks a “dazzling” quality. It is definitely something I would not watch again (not suitable for young adults/ children). Overall, I enjoyed the aspects which did not pertain to the actual film development.

A somewhat foolish entertaining flick with a ridiculously convoluted story.
You definitely need a willing suspension of disbelief.

Some guy mentioned no good Asian directors since kurasawa?! Really? How about Kim ki-duk? The Eel, spring, summer, fall, winter and spring, and other great movies!

One could consider all of nature as living off its environment; or as all things being mutually supportive.
During my lifetime, there has been growing awareness of the effects of the pyramidical economic structure, the widening gap.
Ruth Rendell's 'A Judgment in Stone' depicted a flashpoint, one possibly more typical. That was made into a film 'La Ceremonie' as well as 'The Housekeeper'.
In general, I expect people do not want to dwell on the dark aspects of their social order; feel uncomfortable considering victimization. Giving films like this an opening.
If I recall, some biblical passage gives an account that God fabricated garments with which disgraced Adam and Eve could wear in their future toiling.
Somewhere down the line people came up with their own Sunday best.

Found the first part of the movie interesting and engaging, if in a fairly dark way, but after the late night family party I was fairly disappointed with the remaining dark slapstick approach of the film.

"You know what kind of plan never fails? No plan. No plan at all. You know why? Because life cannot be planned. Look around you. Did you think these people made a plan to sleep in the sports hall with you? But here we are now, sleeping together on the floor. So, there's no need for a plan. You can't go wrong with no plans. We don't need to make a plan for anything. It doesn't matter what will happen next. Even if the country gets destroyed or sold out, nobody cares. Got it?"

Kim Ki-woo: Dad, today I made a plan - a fundamental plan. I'm going to earn money, a lot of it. University, a career, marriage, those are all fine, but first I'll earn money. When I have money, I'll buy the house. On the day we move in, Mom and I will be in the yard. Because the sunshine is so nice there. All you'll need to do is walk up the stairs. Take care until then. So long.

Lady are you crazy? If they see that video, Mr. Park and his wife will be so shocked! What did those nice people ever do wrong? Why do this to them?
-Stop right there! Or I'll push the 'send' button.
===
Honey, this 'send' button is like a missile launcher.
-What do you mean, honey?
If we threaten to push it. those people can't do anything. It's like a North Korean rocket.
===
She's rich, but still nice.
-Not "rich, but still nice." She's nice because she's rich. Hell, if I had all this money. I'd be nice, too!
===
Rich people are naive. No resentments. No creases on them.
-It all gets ironed out. Money is an iron. Those creases all get smoothed out.
===
My wife has no talent for housework. She's bad at cleaning, and her cooking's awful.
-Still, you love her, right?
Of course. I love her. We'll call it love.

A lot of planning (scheming,) P1 of 2:

Now our Wi-Fi is shut off. What's your plan?
===
I don't think of this as forgery or crime. I'll go this university next year.
-So you've got a plan!
===
To extract a woman like that, we need to prepare well.
-Right, we need a plan.
==
What do we do? This isn't in the plan.
===
Dad was going on about some plan...

A lot of planning (scheming,) P2 of 2:

You don't have a plan?
-I just feel comfortable here.
===
What do we do now, what's our plan?
-I've been wondering... What would Min do in this situation?
Min wouldn't be in this situation!
===
So nothing happened. You understand? I've got my own plan.
===
Ki-woo, you know what kind of plan never fails? No plan at all.
-No plan.
You know why? If you make a plan, life never works out that way. Look around us. Did these people think, "Let's all spend the night in a gym?" But look now. Everyone's sleeping on the floor, us included. That's why people shouldn't make plans. With no plan, nothing can go wrong. And if something spins out of control, it doesn't matter. Whether you kill someone or betray your country. None of it fucking matters.
Got it?
