A brief novelette with a completely charming take on special Christmas books. Hamish is always Hamish, but this time murder is not stuffed in his stocking. Mysteries, weird characters, children and typical outlandish weather events are! Worth a read anytime of the year. Do before bed and you will may just have strangely impish dreams. Enjoy!

Lovely book. Brought tears to my eyes more than once. Don't wait for the holiday season to read this--it is great for any time. I am a total Grinch, and I loved this. (The narrator's delightful rant against commercialism of Holy Days at the beginning of the book ALMOST made me forgive her for all the times she has called Hamish lazy. Almost.)

What a great book. It made me feel good, put a smile on my face and almost cried a few times. Hamish receives a great Christmas gift.
