" Look, I'm beautiful, I'm charming, I'm expensive, and I give the best head in America." There's nothing like breaking and entering to get one all hot and bothered. Just ask Matilda "Tilda" Goodnight and Davy Dempsey(from "Welcome to Temptation"). The pair can't seem to keep their hands and lips off each other(well almost). Their favorite place to make out? Closets. Now, what could bring an art forger(Tilda) and a con man(Davy) out of retirement and teaming up? That gold digging bitch Clea Lewis(,formerly Clea Whipple,and also from "Welcome to Temptation") of course. Because every duo needs a villian,and Clea is it.

Tilda is trying to recover incriminating art work, and Davy is trying to recover the three million dollars that Clea stole from him by seducing his financial manager Ronald( a million of that sum he originally stole from Clea). While Clea,still up to her old dirty tricks(as evidenced by the opening quote) is looking to sink her teeth(Ouch!) into potential husband number three,Mason Phipps, who's a rich art collector.

"Faking It" takes place in Columbus,Ohio, three years after the events of Jennifer Crusie's " Welcome to Temptation", which first introduced the characters Clea Whipple(the washed up actress/porn star/black widow) and Davy Dempsey( the smooth talking con man and brother of Sophie and Amy Dempsey). In "Faking It",Crusie introduces a new cast of colorful characters in the Goodnight family. There's Gwen Goodnight(Tilda's mother),Eve(Tilda's sister),Nadine(Eve's daughter/Tilda's niece),Andrew(Eve's ex-husband),Jeff(Andrew's boyfriend),Louise(Eve's stage persona),Ethan(Nadine's best friend),Dorcas(Gwen's tenant), and Steve(the family dog). There is also cameo appearances by a few other characters from "Welcome to Temptation".
