Aang, Katara, and Sokka travel to find King Bumi in order for Aang to learn earth bending. He comes across a military base of earth benders and the general there proposes that Aang fights off the Fire Lord with the Avatar state. Later, the trio becomes stuck in a cave, in which Aang and Katara are trapped together. Zuko is with his uncle while he recovers from poison. When the trio returns to Omashu after exiting the cave, they find that the Fire Nation has captured it and then also the trio. The trio escapes and helps free the citizens by faking an epidemic. They later travel to a swamp where mysterious things happen after they are all separated by a tornado. In another place, Zuko and his uncle have trying to get money from villagers to live.
