Sometimes the movies we watch aren't particularly brilliant or outwardly artistic, but just plain fun to give your attention to. Of course, Help! falls under this category of movies, where instead of watching it to learn something new or even see the masterminds behind it, you watch the movie just to enjoy it and nothing further. Many will watch for The Beatles and their music and stay for the comedy. It's a film chock-full of memorable music videos as well as all around good humor. Though I don't believe it lives up to the standards of their other film "A Hard Day's Night," Help! still did a fantastic job of combining music videos into the film whilst still maintaining a clear plot-line. Everything was thought of in relevance with one-another and not imputed in some random, unrealistic sense. Although, you may not feel the desire to watch Help! more than once or twice, I would still recommend giving it a chance regardless. Help! is one of those movies in which people enjoy for the personality and quirkiness hidden within it- so if you happen to enjoy such content, I would imagine this movie would be no different. 4/5, absolutely fab! @showmethemonet! of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Excellent album of Beatles music. The first seven tracks are from the film Help! which is a great silly, fun movie that's totally worth checking out.
This is a good album, though tracks 8 and 12 sound rather like country songs. My favorites were tracks 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 (a new discovery - its not on the greatest hits collections), and most of all, the tender and immortal track 13 (Yesterday).
Ok, I am unashamedly a Beatles fan. I love most of their music, and perhaps that is partly because I grew up with them in my youth and appreciating them even more in their solo careers.
My favourite songs from this album is by far, Help, Yesterday (Paul wrote with him singing), Act Naturally (Ringo singing), I've Just Seen A Face (Paul again), and John's gut wrenching vocals on Dizzy Miss Lizzie.
A great album, with songs fuelling their silly second movie of the same name, released in 1965.
Released on August 6, 1965 - "Help!" would be the fifth studio album by English rock band the Beatles and the soundtrack from their film "Help!". Most of the songs were a joint writing collaboration between John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
In 2012 - "Help!" was voted 331st on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
Out of this CD's 14 tracks - Two of my favourites are - "Ticket to Ride" and "You're Going To Lose That Girl".
Great music. Album skips.
