I was really intrigued by the premise of this book, and I ended up being surprised because I didn't expect it to be told from the perspective it was! (I don't want to give too much away) This book made me sad. It's really hard for me to imagine what it's like to live in a place where your life is constantly in danger, and where things are so bad you'd do ANYTHING to get away. And the world doesn't care. The main character felt so real and honest and my heart broke over and over.
