Read Contra Costa - A Conversation with Percival Everett: A Live Author Event & Book Signing
Join us for a live conversation with Percival Everett as he discusses "James," winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award for Fiction. Everett's novel is a powerful retelling of Mark Twain’s “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” The story is told from the perspective of Jim, an enslaved man who runs away after he discovers he's about to be sold and separated from his family. The discussion will be followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase the day of the event.
This event will take place at the Los Medanos College Student Union, 2700 East Leland Rd., Pittsburg CA 94565 and will be broadcast live on Zoom and CCTV on Comcast channel 27, AT&T U-Verse channel 99, or Astound channels 32 and 1027.
