¡Aqui-les va... un cuento! The Treasure of Aquiles

on March 10, 2026, 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Event description

Join us for a performance by Cascada de Flores, a duo dedicated to the exploration, preservation and dissemination of Mexican and Caribbean traditional music and dance.

A bilingual, participatory and original story told with music, dance and you!
Cascada de Flores tells stories using the music and dance that they most love: that of Mexico and Latin America. The Treasure of Aquiles is about creativity. Someone in this group was so inspired by the music from their Mexican heritage that they wrote the songs using the musical styles that they grew up with. Who could it be?

Special thanks to the Library Foundation of Contra Costa for sponsoring this program.
