Event description

Creative Expressions is a welcoming space for tweens and teens ages 12–18 to explore art, creativity, and connection.

Do you spend a lot of time being creative on your own or alone? This program is just for you! You will have a chance to be creative alongside others your age, while still honoring your own personal style.

We’ll begin with a short introduction sometimes on inspiring artists, many times on creative styles, and a lot on expressive techniques. We can look at fan art and character-based creativity and talk about our favorite books, games, movies and then, you’ll have time to create in whatever medium feels right for you.

Sometimes books or characters inspire us and help us create and sometimes we’re still discovering what inspires us. Wherever you are in your creative journey is completely okay, just know you don't have to go on it alone. This is a low-pressure, inclusive space where you can participate in whatever way feels comfortable. Whether that’s creating quietly, chatting with others, or simply being in the space.

No experience needed. All creative styles are welcome. Supplies provided.
