Korean Brush Painting
In this class, students will explore traditional Korean ink art by painting a simple yet expressive circle. This practice is part of Sumukhwa (Korean ink painting) and uses mock (black Asian ink) with a traditional Asian brush. The circle painting is not only an art exercise but also a form of meditation. Students will focus on calm breathing, steady movement, and concentration as they create their brushstroke, learning how mindfulness and simplicity are important parts of East Asian ink painting traditions.
